You Are Not Broken

You Are Not Broken… You Just Haven’t Been Shown Who You Are Yet

April 09, 20266 min read

Hey, it’s Ronai!

Let’s talk about something that changed everything for me… and honestly, something I wish every single person would experience.

Knowing who you are.

Not who the world says you should be.
Not who you’ve tried to become to fit in.
Not who you think you have to be to succeed.

I’m talking about who God actually created you to be. Because here’s the truth most people don’t realize…

👉 You are not a project to fix
👉 You are not missing something
👉 You are not behind

You’ve just never been shown how to see yourself clearly.

A Moment That Changed Everything for Me

I remember a moment in my journey where I realized something that completely shifted how I saw myself. For so long, I thought I needed to fix parts of who I was.

I thought if I could just be a little more like that person… a little more structured, a little more this, a little less that… then I would finally feel confident in who I was.

But instead, I felt exhausted. I felt like I was constantly trying to live outside of how God designed me. And then it hit me…

What If?

What if I’m not broken?

What if I’ve just been trying to operate outside of my design?

Psalm 139:14 (NIV)
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Why it resonates:
This verse reminds us that God’s design is intentional. There is nothing accidental about how you were created. When you begin to see yourself the way He sees you, you stop striving to become someone else and start stepping into who you already are.

That moment changed everything for me.

Because instead of asking, “What do I need to fix?” I started asking, “God, how did You create me… and how do I use that?”

His answer became something I now say all the time:

👉 You are not a factory error. You are a custom creation.

👉 You are not a factory error. You are a custom creation.

But here’s what took it even deeper for me… It’s not just about how you were created.
It’s about who lives within you.

This is what God revealed to me is the 35th Talent:

Christ in You

When you understand your strengths and you recognize that Christ is within you, guiding you, strengthening you, and working through you…

You stop striving.

You’re no longer trying to prove your worth.
You’re no longer trying to earn your identity.
You’re no longer trying to lead like someone else.

You begin to live, lead, and serve from a place of:

  • Confidence rooted in Him

  • Identity anchored in truth

  • Strengths activated with purpose

Your design is not separate from your faith. It is how your faith is expressed. And from that place, everything starts to align. Not perfectly… but peacefully.

Christ in You

Why CliftonStrengths Is So Powerful

When you take the CliftonStrengths Assessment, something shifts. It puts language to what has always been true about you.

The way you think
The way you connect
The way you take action
The way you influence others

All of it… was already there.

Most people go through life trying to fix their weaknesses. But what if that’s not the goal? What if the real breakthrough comes from understanding your strengths and learning how to use them intentionally? Because when you know how you’re wired, everything starts to make sense.

You Are Infinitely Unique (And That Matters)

There is no one else wired exactly like you.

Not your strengths.
Not your order.
Not your combination.

That means:
👉 The way you lead is unique
👉 The way you love is unique
👉 The way you serve is unique

And if you’re constantly trying to be like someone else… You’re missing the power of who YOU are.

This Is Why I Wrote Faithfully Unleash Your Strengths

I didn’t just want people to understand their strengths. I wanted them to see them through the lens of faith.Your strengths are not random. They are part of how God designed you—on purpose, for a purpose.

Faithfully Unleash Your Strengths is a guide to help you:

  • See yourself clearly

  • Understand how God wired you

  • Stop striving to be someone you’re not

  • Start living and leading from who you truly are

What Happens When You Truly Understand Your Strengths

I’ve had the honor of working with church leadership teams and congregations, and the transformation is powerful.

Here’s what one pastor shared:

“Working with Ronai Brumett through the Gallup CliftonStrengths framework brought immediate and practical value to our leadership team. She helped our staff see their strengths not just as skills, but as part of how God has uniquely wired them for ministry, which deepened both self-awareness and faith.

The shared language of strengths noticeably improved communication—team members began naming differences without defensiveness and leaning into one another’s strengths rather than working around them.

What stood out most was watching our team move toward greater unity as people felt seen, valued, and better equipped to lead together with clarity and trust. I would highly recommend this work to churches and ministries seeking healthier teams and more aligned leadership.”
— Pastor Aaron Sturgis

And from a church leadership perspective:

“Working with Ronai was a tremendous blessing for our staff and congregation! We were blown away by her attention to detail in crafting specific, page-long informational statements for each staff member.

She blessed our congregation by sharing the message of purpose and identity in Christ across our three services and went the extra mile with one-on-one sessions and workshops so people could discover who God created them to be.

She offered her expertise on how to faithfully unleash our strengths at home, at work, and in service to the church and community, highlighting how each person's strengths show up differently because we are all uniquely created by God. We highly recommend working with her!”

  • Use it intentionally

All rooted in your identity in Christ.
