If you’ve ever dealt with tennis elbow (aka lateral epicondylitis – because that totally rolls off the tongue), you know the struggle is real. That sharp, nagging discomfort on the outside of your elbow? Whether you got it from swinging a racquet, typing too much, or just being your overachieving self, I’ve got a simple hack to help.
Instead of spending money on a fancy brace, my chiropractor, Dr. Molly King, suggested a DIY strap using a foam wrap and a little rolling magic. I made a Reel showing exactly how to do it, but here’s the step-by-step:
Grab a foam wrap (like the kind athletes use)
Wrap it around your arm a few times
Roll it into itself (See Video)
Place it about an inch below the sore spot on your forearm (not on your actual elbow).
Instant relief. This helps take the pressure off the inflamed tendon.
It’s crazy how such a small tweak makes a huge difference. Pairing this with essential oils takes it to the next level.
You know I’m all about natural wellness, so let’s talk oils. Tennis elbow is all about inflammation and discomfort, and essential oils can make a big difference.
Deep Blue® Stick – Great for muscle and joint support. Massage it onto the sore area for cooling relief.
Copaiba – Supports a healthy inflammatory response and promotes healing. Apply topically or take a drop internally.
Frankincense – Known for its ability to support circulation and soothe discomfort.
AromaTouch® – Helps with muscle relaxation and circulation. Great for post-workout or after a long day.
Peppermint – Cooling and calming, perfect to mix with Deep Blue® for extra relief.
Rest & Modify – If you keep pushing through the pain, your elbow will make you regret it. Give it some time to heal.
Ice Therapy – Apply ice for 10-15 minutes to reduce inflammation.
Stretch & Strengthen – Gentle forearm stretches and wrist exercises can help rebuild strength.
Ditch Teflon Pans – Unrelated but still important. Had to throw that in here.
